The Coastal Table

For those of you that may not yet know, I’m really excited to share some news with you…the publication of my cookbook, The Coastal Table: Recipes Inspired by the Farmlands and Seaside of Southern New England.

Ever since I moved to the South Coast almost ten years ago, I’ve fallen in love with this region, and all that it has to offer. From its breathtaking views to its abundance of fresh seafood and produce, this area is a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked neatly between the bridge to Cape Cod and Providence, the South Coast is one of the most unassuming, beautiful places in all of New England. And writing this book, with a great team of people at Union Park Press, has been a dream project. And now I get to share this very special place with all of you.

The cookbook includes over 120 recipes that reflect the simple, yet vibrant lifestyle of life on the coast. It’s filled with dishes for casual beach days, easy, yet sophisticated outdoor entertaining, and simple, everyday meals that celebrate the epicurean heritage of this amazing coastal region. I’m also honored that some of New England’s finest and most inventive chefs, including Barbara Lynch, Matthew Varga, Champe Speidel, Matthew Jennings and Aaron DeRego, contributed recipes to this book as well.

It’s been a wonderful project, allowing me to showcase some of the area’s best ingredients, purveyors, artisans and chefs, as well as many of my favorite spots for shopping, dining and enjoying a great ice cream cone.
