Made from an authentic piece of African mud cloth, each piece in this study highlights the linear pattern that is indicative of traditional mud cloth. Washed to an almost white color and hand-stitched with striking black thread that adds a simple yet traditional pattern to the finished wall hanging. Each piece comes unframed but can easily be framed into a floater frame like this.

Each cloth may contain slight wear and imperfections in the fabric but they’ve been intentionally left to add character to the piece.
